Meet Jaime McIntyre
(Counsellor & NET Practitioner)
My Journey to Counselling and NET
I came to practice in Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) and psychotherapy through lived experience and decades of deep personal exploration. NET became a cornerstone in my own healing journey after being introduced to the technique by Bec Bowring in 2005. Since then, I’ve experienced profound shifts through the work of many skilled practitioners, which has inspired my own approach to supporting others.
I am a PACFA Registered Certified Practising Counsellor, an Accredited NET Practitioner, trained in Neurological Integration Systems (NIS), an accredited Lifeline Crisis Supporter, and hold both a Diploma of Counselling and a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Counselling. These studies, combined with my own lived experience, allow me to offer a unique, embodied, and intuitive approach to NET within a person-centred psychotherapeutic framework.
My practice also extends to supporting individuals in addiction recovery, including those navigating the impacts of developmental trauma, co-occurring mental health conditions, and relationship repair. I am passionate about helping people explore unconscious patterns, shift long-held emotional blocks, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful, transformative ways.
My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed, and affirming of all genders, sexual orientations, neurodivergent identities, and relationship structures. I strive to provide a space where every person feels seen, respected, safe, and supported — just as they are.
Outside of work, I am deeply connected to nature and the ocean. I compete in offshore yacht racing, including the Sydney to Hobart, and enjoy sea kayaking, scuba diving, hiking, and mindfulness practices. My personal life is grounded in spiritual connection and time spent in nature.
