Meet Our Team

Introducing Cassie
In July 2006 I joined the team in Artarmon and embarked upon my first experience of Chiropractic. Natural therapies has always been a passion of mine and in the past I have studied various modalities including massage, aromatherapy and have enjoyed variety of other bodywork courses. Another passion I have is working with children. I get to do a lot of this now that I am full time in the Surry Hills office. Outside of office hours I also teach children’s swim classes & have had particular training and experience in the teaching of children with disabilities. All these experiences I bring to our many & varied team at Central To Health, as well as keeping an eye on our practitioners and keeping them in line (the work with kids comes in handy here too hehehehe).
My personal experience with Chiropractic has been particularly marked with the fact that I have been a sufferer of asthma & really hate relying on medication to relieve my symptoms. Regular adjustments with Bec & Darren have helped me to approach the condition from a much more holistic & natural perspective. My only hope now is that my regular checkups will at long last help me learn how to drive!!! You never know what you can achieve with a properly working nervous system ;0)

Introducing Louise
I started working at Artarmon Chiropractic in February 2007 and am new to the Chiropractic approach. A deep interest in natural medicine, health and wellbeing, having used acupuncture, naturopathy and homeopathy for myself in the past, led me to apply to join the busy Central To Health Team. I have worked with people in the health and social care sectors most of my working life, having worked in mental health, learning disabilities and elderly care and I also have an MA in Peace Studies and value a peaceful approach to life and the world around me.
I love the diversity of practitioners at the 2 offices, each Chiropractor has special areas of expertise & interest and its great to see them all practice in such different & complementary ways. It’s a great learning experience for me. I also love being at the front desk, being able to meet lots of our clients and be involved in their journey towards better health. Since taking on the role as office manager here at Artarmon Chiropractic I am enjoying learning a great deal about what Chiropractic has to offer. I love being at the front desk and talking to people about their health seeing how much chiropractic is helping them. When I can, I hope to start my own studies in a natural health related discipline.
Introducing Maddy
I joined the team at Artarmon Chiropractic in early 2009 and since then have further developed my already keen interest in the health and psychology of the human. Through working at the practice, by interacting daily with the lovely staff and engaging clients that come through our doors everyday, I have been able to further foster this passion of mine. Moreover, I have learnt more about the profound importance that our nervous system plays in our bodies, and how a healthy body improves one's mental state. I was new to the chiropractic approach to health when joining the team and I have found, through talking to the chiropractors and fellow assistants, and also by having chiropractic treatment, I have been lucky enough to enjoy an unique and holistic approach to my healthcare. Additionally, working at the office allows me to interact with children - and being an aunt to four toddlers, I have grown to absolutely adore every child I lay my eyes on!
I am studying a Bachelor of Arts at The University of Sydney, majoring in History and Government (or Psychology... or Film Studies... or Cultural Studies - I embrace change!) although in 2009 I have taken a year off to take a break from study. When I'm not working at the office, I read, go out with friends or listen to music. However, you can always find me strolling the streets of Paddington, shopping up a storm with coffee in hand!

Introducing Amanda
My first Chiropractic experience was courtesy of my older sister Catherine who worked with Bec & Darren in the Artarmon practice from 2002-2006. As a child I remember going to uni with Cath as a bit of a guinea pig and being a “model child patient” for all the students. It was such a wonderful experience that I have been adjusted ever since & this year enrolled in the Masters of Chiropractic program at Macquarie University myself.
Health has always been very important to me & maintaining health using natural therapies & practices seems most logical to me. I am very interested in anatomy, the human body and all its complexities. It is the simple ways in which Chiropractic can encourage the body to perform its own healing that has particularly inspired me to follow this path. When I’m not in the Artarmon office or up to my ears with assignments & study I love to indulge in playing sport & listening to & playing music.

Introducing Emma
Everyone in my family, from my grandmother to my nephew, has relied on Chiropractic care to keep us all healthy, for as long as I can remember, but it is only recently that I have made it my career.
After studying politics and history for three years at uni, I realized that it wasn’t the direction that I wanted to take. So off I went, traveling the world for a year. When I returned home, (in need of some serious chiropractic care after my adventures!)
I realized the profound difference that chiropractic made to my life and health and I decided that if I could do that for other people, I would be very happy. So in 2005 I started my degree in Chiropractic Science, and haven’t looked back! Since joining the team at Central to Health in 2006 I have been lucky to see the difference that chiropractic makes to all the people that come into the office, and look forward to being a part of that.
